Ok, it was like forty degrees outside today at the game. I GOT SUNBURNED. I haven’t been sunburned like all summer, then all of a sudden, I go to a football game on a CHILLY CHICAGO DAY IN OCTOBER and now the half of my face that was facing the sun is beet red. Gah.

    Quote of the day:

Walter: "He lives in North Hollywood on Radford, near the In-and-Out Burger--"
Dude: "The In-and-Out Burger is on Camrose."
    Walter: "Near the In-and-Out Burger--"
Donny: "Those are good burgers, Walter."
Walter: "Shut the fuck up, Donny.

Today’s date will go down in history. Taking a break from aforementioned goose-infested math homework, I beat Eric at ping pong. Yes, Eric, although I believe his full name is I Always Kick Doug’s Ass in Ping Pong. And I beat him fairly handily, too! At one point I was up 20-11, although he scored five unanswered points I believe… But hey, who came out on top in the end? That’s right.

Tales of a math major: So I spend a good deal of time busting my butt trying to figure out how on Earth this poor goose from my differential equations book is supposed to get back to his nest with this horrendous southeast wind blowing against his face. (Do geese even have faces?) Upon returning to the problem later in the evening, I realize that southeast is totally not where I thought it was. For a good part of today, I’d been prancing around calling something “southeast” when most people would have said “southwest.”

I got all the PHP and MySQL done! Boo yeah! I actually had already made an update to that affect, but in testing my delete script, I accidentally got rid of it. Whoops.

My PHP/mySQL revamp of the site is coming along nicely. What will become index.php is pretty much done. It doesn’t look very nifty. If you want to actually see something worthwhile, here’s the source code. I just need to add support for browsing the archives. Plus I need to program the script I’ll use to enter updates into the database. That’ll be the biggest job.

So I’m operating my computer today. I decide I’d like to burn a CD (Mandrake Linux 7.1 - I’ve always been a RedHat person, but RedHat 7.0 #$!@ sucks and won’t install on my system, so I decided to switch distros for a change). But anyways, back to the original story. I decide I’d like to burn a CD. And I see this. I have TWO CD DRIVES. TWO. NOT ZERO. Of course it was easily fixed with a reboot, but pretty darn obnoxious. Ok, end of story.
